Our Programs

The Association for Better Communities runs various programs throughout the year to benefit youth and adults throughout the city of New Orleans.

Children Design Our Future

Children Design Our Future focuses on the development, education and performance of young artists.  Each child creates clothing and decorative masterpieces, which will be modeled by individuals walking and dancing through the Treme neighborhood and surrounding communities.

This program is open to any demographic, ethnic group, cultural background, and gender.

It takes place from January - March of each year.

Giveaway Events

Each year, ABC puts two annual giveaway events to benefit children in need.

In July, ABC gives away 200+ book sacks to school children during their annual book sack drive.

In December, ABC provides 500 brand new coats to youth in the surrounding community.

Debutante and Beautillion

Our Debutante and Beautillion events focus on developing young leaders who understand how to interact in any social situation, with people of all ages.

Through participation in life skills workshops, etiquette courses and community building activities, our program participants will develop into young men and ladies who are prepared to meet the challenges of today’s society.

The program teaches self-esteem and instills foundational values that participants take with them far into adulthood.
